A flat update from Hazlemere

left: little dangly thing I made out of drift wood and glass and some brown rope.
right: two posters taken from the Design Times newspaper that I bought at the Design Indaba. Very cool and inspirational newspapers full of cool shit to say the least. Plus they make your walls look nice when you done reading them!

A vintage racket (top) from the milnerton market a few moons ago and (bottom) my baby tree on my balcony. I just wrote on his black plastic pot with some chalk! Pretty cute and easy- give your plants a voice (- haha THE lamest thing ive ever said, I know) but still, do it!

My little veggie garden pot label DIY project

I recently stole a trough from my parents and planted some tomatoes and lettuce. I need to bring some life onto my balcony so I thought it would be cute and quirky to add some labels so my guests know what i'm growing. Im a salad freak and I cant wait for these to be ready, will save some bucks on buying salad goods all the time.

The equipment I used, paint your wording with a tiny paintbrush and watercolour or acrylic paint, I used watercolour paint for this one.

Cape Town City love

Im not much of a photographer but today Nikki and I were scouting locations for our college project. We drove around woodstock for a bit trying to find a beautiful house/shop front to film. We decided on the very bottom house. Beauty isnt it? Check out the pics I snapped along the way!

How I do my eyes!

Rachel Zoe makes amazing clothes that I would sell my tiny soul for.

I love her,  I am also a short little human who wears maxi skirts/dresses & oversized jackets 24/7. Her show The Rachel Zoe Project gives us fashion junkies a little fix and a peek into the REAL world of glam and fashion as she jets off to runway shows and meets with only the best designers. Not to mention the glimses of her cupboard that you get to see. CRAZY - She has vintage Valentino and you name it. Every girl's heaven!
Check out the dresses below, "BANANAS" as Rachel would say. Yes, we are on a first name basis.

Latest obsession: The cactus garden

Isnt this just the best? I have 4 cactuses already and I am hoping to build up a little collection. They are so cute, mexican (LOVE - frozen margaritas and quesadillas) and easy to keep alive. I love the idea of putting them in different colour pots!

The Goddess Guide

My lovely friend Britney shared this with me and I was so excited to share it on! Since we where in primary school we have both LOVED finding bits and bobs and filling our "homework" diary with dreams and creative doodles about fashion, bffs, boys, life and love. Check out the work by Gisèle Scanlon we created a gorgeous series of books called "The Goddess Guide" that tells fashion, food and beauty through various creative forms.
